Our
2008 Winners
Hawaiian Oyster Odysseys (HOOs) are
annual fundraising events organized by the Brain Injury Association
of Canada (BIAC) in partnership with other like-minded
organizations. They are made possible purely through volunteer
efforts and are held across the country. They are envisioned to be a
time of fun and learning.
 It is our aim to create an atmosphere
of celebration while increasing awareness of the impact of brain
injuries. The HOOs are also a time for survivors and families to
meet and network with medical experts, community leaders, public
figures, business professionals and the media. Survivor stories,
oyster bars, mystery prizes and tropical cocktails make it an
exciting evening, in line with the Hawaiian theme.
Most importantly, it increases
awareness about the work of brain injury associations across Canada.
